Program Coordinator contractor sought


FPAC is hiring for a Program Coordinator contract position.

FPAC is hiring a part-time contractor to provide support to a grant funded project focused on healthy food policy and food system convening. The coordinator will assist with scheduling, facilitating meetings, outreach, process and outcome evaluation and other duties as agreed upon.

Program work includes farm to early childcare education center programming, local and state policy engagement, FPAC operations (focused mainly on working groups and membership communications), and other stakeholder engagement assistance.

Duties include:

Communicate with FPAC members and partners regarding meetings, events, and policy advocacy opportunities.

Assist with working group communication, scheduling and administrative support for group leaders.

Assist with formation of farm to institution and farm to early childcare education (ECE) toolkits.

Assist with communication to ECE center(s) and institutions and site-visits.

Assist in formation of reports and policy briefs.

Assist with program evaluation. 

Attend meetings and community events as needed

Other administrative support such as scheduling, meeting notes and dissemination, newsletter, social media.

Skills needed:

Ability to communicate well digitally and in-person

Ability to work with all people regardless of age, race, gender, socioeconomic status

Highly organized

Self-starter 

Attention to detail

Timeliness and attention to deadlines

Basic to intermediate knowledge of the food system and the role of food in healthy living

Basic to intermediate graphic design and digital communications skills

Ability to travel to in-town meetings as needed

Ability and flexibility to attend meetings and events on occasional weekends and evenings

Start Date: July 15, 2019
End Date: March 31, 2019
May be an opportunity to renew contract at the end of the term.

Work is deliverables based but will require approximately 20/hrs per week. Pay monthly upon invoice at a rate of $1350/month. 
Coordinator will be an independent contractor with no benefits or taxes removed from pay.
